Kim Richards, RN has over 18 years' experience in the nursing management search industry. She was hired by AORN to set up a for-profit subsidiary specializing in recruitment of perioperative nurse managers/ directors on an interim and full-time basis. She was successful in re-launching a "department" of AORN, into AORN Management Solutions, Inc. where, through targeted marketing, sales, and networking efforts, the subsidiary produced significant growth. Kim remained as the General Manager for three years before leaving to start her own executive search firm.

Prior to that, Kim was the President of Executive Healthcare, Inc, a search firm that specialized in Nursing Management recruitment, both full-time and interim positions. She was chosen to work for several health care systems as the "preferred provider" of perioperative nursing management positions, and has also worked as a nurse recruiter at a very large inner city healthcare system. Kim has worked as a sales trainer for a major pharmaceutical company and a sales manager for a specialty hospital equipment company. Her nursing background includes experience in clinical areas such as ER, Trauma, OB and Critical Care.

Kim has shared her extensive knowledge of recruitment of perioperative management with hospitals and organizations. She has consulted with, and presented to Nursing Administration as well as Human Resource Departments regarding effective, competitive recruitment training and is available to assist your facility/organization with a program to attract top talent.

Kim and her husband Bill, live in Littleton, Colorado with their four dogs, Valentino, Gator, Buddy and Sammy the Seminole. They enjoy hiking, biking, camping and skiing. Kim also has been a certified aerobic instructor for over 24 years and teaches at Bally Total Fitness.
